We are a modern firm of accountants established in 2007.
Surge Accounting was launched in 2023 by a team who have worked together since 2007, with the mission to help our clients meet the challenge of new technology and reporting under the Making Tax Digital (MTD) rules. Helping our clients save both time and money will always remain our priority, and that's how we've built our strong reputation for sound accounting.
We provide essential and value adding accountancy services whilst ensuring all your compliance needs are met in good time. We established Surge Accounting to evolve with technical advances to enhance our client services, enabling access to real time data and automation for your business.

Director Michael Chrichard FCCA
Since 2007 our Principal's practice has grown from humble beginnings to provide first-class services and no-nonsense advice to our clients.
Before founding a private practice, Michael worked for a number of reputable local firms in the North-East of England in public practice, tax and audit.
Post qualifying Michael spent a number of years in risk management as an Internal Auditor in the private sector.
Michael understands both the commercial and tax factors that affect businesses and individuals and has decades of experience working with and guiding owner-managed businesses.
